Lazza had an interesting telephone chat yesterday afternoon with a lady from Healthwatch Camden, who was looking for people who had been affected by food poverty due to mental health issues. As some may know, over the last three years Lazza has had to use a food bank a few times. This was a mix of being on Universal Credit (or ESA when it was that), and not getting money from the court action against the slime who stole his life savings.
Anyway, as part of their discussion, HMHB was brought up, and the lady was very interested in what we are doing, our values, and our passion for mental health. Their research is culminating in an interview on Radio 4 in the next few weeks, and it appears Lazza may be invited along to share his story, and that of HMHB.
This could be a major break for us, especially in getting our message across with a view of sponsorship, and pushing our GoFundMe page. No promises as yet, and we have had a lot of false dawns. We will follow this up closely and let people know how we go.
